The nine remaining contestants will perform from the songbook of pop icon Elton John this week on AMERICAN IDOL, April 6, 2004 (8:00-9:00 PM live ET/tape-delayed PT on Fox).

While preparing for the show, the contestants had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to sit around the piano with Elton, who has been entertaining for decades and is a five-time Grammy Award winner.

Tamyra Gray, finalist from the first season of AMERICAN IDOL, will perform "Raindrops Will Fall," a ballad from her upcoming solo CD, on April 7, 2004 (8:00-9:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed).

AMERICAN IDOL ranks as the No. 1 program of the season among Adults 18-49 and Total Viewers.
